Description

A deep plum Chinon kurta and straight Indian Crepe pants with Zari and Aari floral embroidery concentrated at the V-neckline yoke, full cuffs, and the length of the dupatta border.

Yoke and Cuff Work — Dense floral clusters cover the V-neckline yoke and the full cuffs entirely.
Reversible Dupatta — The Chinon dupatta reverses, with embroidered borders running the full length on both sides.
Mixed Metal Thread — Zari and Aari are worked in mixed metal and colour threads across every embroidered section.
Straight Crepe Pants — Indian Crepe straight pants in matching deep plum complete the set.

Jewellery: The V-neckline is already filled with floral embroidery, so skip a necklace entirely — long silver or oxidised jhumkas draw the eye downward and let the yoke read as the focal point.
Dupatta Drape: Drape the dupatta so the crimson face shows at the front and the deep plum face folds behind — the colour contrast between the two grounds becomes visible at the border edge.

About the Craft

Zari is a fine metallic thread used to bring sheen to embroidery and borders. Aari embroidery is worked with a fine hooked needle that pulls the thread through the fabric in a chain stitch, which lets it fill large areas with dense, flowing lines.

Zari and Aari work forms dense floral clusters, leaf sprigs, and small buds across the V-neckline yoke and full cuffs, with a continuous floral vine border running the entire length of both dupatta edges.

Each piece is made with custom work, so there may be subtle differences from one piece to the next.
