The velvet catches light the way night water does, dark and quietly reflective. At first it appears almost still, a deep black surface without interruption. Then the florals begin to reveal themselves. Soft blues and greens rise along the front panels, framed by fine Tilla and Aari borders that travel down the center like a slender pathway. There is something intimate about it, the way the embroidery rests close to the neckline and traces the edges without overwhelming the velvet beneath.
